Does a Power of Attorney need to be recorded with the County Recorder’s Office to be considered a legal document?
Does a Power of Attorney need to be recorded with the County Recorder’s Office to be considered a legal document?
I have been named as Power of Attorney over a friend, who is in the hospital. The document has been signed and notarized, but am not sure if it also needs to be recorded.
I live in San Mateo County, California.
