Can you start a fundraiser to raise money for an attorney?

I lost my rights to my kids by default because I was never served the papers properly and knew nothing about it. Now I don’t have the money to hire an attorney and we live in seperate states, only 2 hours apart. I am in a bind it has been 2 months since I have seen my kids.

Depending on where you live, most communities have a legal aid society, lawyers or attorneys will help and have free consultations. Check with your District Attorney’s Office.
And yes you can have garage sales, car washes, sell homemade items and earn money to pay the attorney if he will not take your case on “Pro Bono”.
Pro bono publico is a phrase derived from Latin meaning “for the public good”. The term is generally used to describe professional work undertaken voluntarily, and without payment as a public service. It is common in the legal profession….sincere best of luck to you and I hope that you will be able to see your children soon…thank you

the web is a powerful way to tell your story and get people to support you (and then they pass it on to people they know, so it goes viral). Try this: it’s easy, it’s got good money making potential, and you can try it for free:
