I called an attorney and they told me USD$1600. They let you make payments, but won’t file until the whole thing is paid. Is that too much or just right?

I’ve heard of lawyers charging as little as $900.00 (and made payment arrangements) and as high as $3000 up front.

Shop around. Also it might depend on how many delinquent accounts you have. I would say around 1000.00 would be normal.
